Nintendo have released a new trailer showing off Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury gameplay, giving players their first look at the new expansion in action. As showcased in the trailer, it looks like Bowser has been covered in some sort of goo reminiscent of that which plagued Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine. It’s made him very big and very angry, so it’s up to Mario and Jr. to stop/save him.
Right at the end of the footage we also get a quick glimpse of a supersized Cat Mario preparing to face off against a supersized Bowser. Away from the new expansion, the Switch version of Super Mario 3D World will feature a few gameplay enhancements over the 2013 Wii U original. All characters boast faster movement speeds, increased climbing height with the Super Bell ability activated, plus there’s now online multiplayer and gyro control support. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is out 12 February exclusively on Nintendo Switch. What do you think of the new expansion? Let us know below or in the forums.
