QuakeCon 2016 took place in Dallas this weekend, producing some fresh gameplay footage of Quake Champions and Prey. While no release date has been announced for the PC exclusive shooter, it was revealed that a closed beta will take place next year. The latest Prey trailer gives us a short glimpse at some in-game footage of Arkane Studios’ reboot: The game sees players stepping into role of the first human enhanced with alien powers, trapped on a space station currently under assault from an extraterrestrial threat Prey is scheduled for release in 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Also announced at the expo was an open beta for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, the free-to-play strategy card game based on Bethesda’s fantasy RPG franchise. Players interested in participating can download the beta now. Take a look at the video below for a overview of the gameplay: And lastly, id Software also announced Unto the Evil, the first of three planned content drops for their DOOM reboot. The new content includes three maps, a new weapon and equipment item, a new playable demon, and a surplus of customisation options such as patterns, colours, taunts and some new armour sets. Have a look at what's on offer in the trailer below: Unto the Evil is included in the season pass or can be purchased separately for £11.99. Interestingly, id Software's PartyPlay system aims to avoid fragmenting the player base by allowing anyone to play the new maps as long as they're in a party with someone who owns the DLC. There's also some screenshots to feast your eyes upon. Let us know your thoughts on the latest news to emerge from QuakeCon 2016 over in the forums or in the comment section below.
