2K tease Mafia: Trilogy, a collection of all three Mafia games

Following a revival of the series official twitter account, 2K have released a teaser for Mafia: Trilogy for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia.

While there’s not much information in the short video released today, the game’s twitter account confirms that the collection will include all three Mafia titles. It’s not clear whether the first two entries, which were released in 2002 and 2010 respectively, will be remasters or ports. It looks like we won’t have long to wait to find out, however, with a full announcement said to be coming next Tuesday, at 5pm BST.

Each of the three Mafia games takes place in a different region of the United States during a different time period. The first game was set in the 1930s, while the follow up took place in a 1940s fictional east coast city.

The most recent entry, Mafia 3, takes place during the 1960s and stars Vietnam veteran Lincoln Clay on a revenge mission against the mob. Gabriella praised the game for its setting and characters in her 2016 review but lamented the “uninspiring” structure of missions.
