Rebellion have released the first video of a four-part series showcasing new gameplay and behind-the-scenes footage of upcoming virtual reality title, Arca’s Path VR. “The simplicity of control of just using your head means it’s very engaging, very gettable, and you really focus on moving forward,” said Dream Reality Interactive CEO, Dr Dave Ranyard. “You can navigate these full 3D landscapes and platforms just by looking around.”
Opening environments are relatively easy to navigate, but as the story progresses and the world becomes more hostile, players will come across much more challenging levels. “We’re trying to create a range of different emotions in Arca’s Path,” said Design Lead John Foster. “Certain levels are very relaxing, beautiful gardens that are fun to explore at a slow pace. Later on, there’s some environments that are quite intimidating and some very hazardous gameplay that you need to overcome.” Arca’s Path VR is out 4 December, and will be available across multiple platforms, including PS VR, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR and Windows Mixed Reality.
