Indie outfit Phantom 8 Studio have released a final teaser for their upcoming psychological horror title ahead of its impending launch. Ian, a former elite soldier, spent years being tortured in dark prisons across Europe. The experiments he was put through twisted his mind and granted him supernatural abilities, such as telekinesis and the power to control time, but they also fractured his grip on reality. Driven by hallucinations and a lust for revenge, Ian enlists the help of his brother and sets out on a hunt for his captors and the truth behind the bizarre experiments he was a part of. With each use of his new found abilities, Ian's sanity frays a little more, inviting the attention of something beyond reality. Past Cure releases 23 February on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

This week's winner is Junior Medeiros (@jrmedeiros_)!
Following last week’s teaser, the four part series debuted today with Making Monsters, an episode focused on the game's protagonist, Johnathon Reid. He must balance his need to feed, and thusly grow stronger, with the oath he swore as a medical professional. Although the oath doesn't expressly forbid draining someone's life force for sustenance, we assume it's at least frowned upon. The second episode, Architects of the Obscure, releases next Thursday.
Vampyr is scheduled to launch sometime in spring. What did you think of the debut episode? Looking forward to seeing more Vampyr next week? Share your thoughts with us below or over in the forums. According to Eurogamer, the Forza Horizon developer has been tasked with creating the next instalment in Microsoft's flagship RPG series. In 2016, Microsoft canned Fable Legends, a free-to-play asymmetric multiplayer title, and closed Fable developer Lionhead Studios. Since then, the series has been on hiatus and its future was unclear.
Eurogamer suggest that the series' revival could have been partly inspired by the success of the PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn, showing there's still a large market for single-player, open-world RPGs. Former Lionhead employees are said to be excited by the news, albeit saddened by the fact that they didn't get the chance to bring Fable 4 to life themselves. Fable co-creator, Simon Carter, told Eurogamer: "I have slightly mixed feelings. On the one hand it's great for the UK games industry, and very pleasing that Fable isn't dead; indeed, it will be lovely to play one as a punter, without coming out in hives. "On the other hand it is a little curious to get rid of the team that is uniquely expert in making Fable, and then try and make Fable. Fable is a weird game, and a tough one to deconstruct for a new team. That said, the team in question is very talented, and I'm sure they'll do a fantastic job." How do you feel about the report? Assassin’s Creed Origins first major DLC releases later this month, second expansion also detailed16/1/2018 Ubisoft have announced the release date for Assassin’s Creed Origins’ first piece of DLC, The Hidden Ones. Preceding the arrival of the first major piece of DLC is a free mission called Incoming Threat, in which players must “head-off an incoming incursion and find where it’s coming from.”
The second major expansion coming to Origins, The Curse of the Pharaohs, is out 6 March and takes on a more mythological theme as players are tasked with investigating an ancient curse that’s plaguing Thebes and has brought the ancient kings back to life. Once again, this DLC adds new content in the form of weapons and cosmetic items, and also increases the level cap to 55. Both expansions will be available to purchase separately or come as part of the game’s season pass. Releasing between the two expansions is the previously revealed Discovery Tour mode, which allows players to explore and learn about Ancient Egypt at their leisure without having to worry about enemy attacks or completing mission objectives. This educational mode launches 20 February as a free update for everyone who owns the game, but can also be purchased separately on PC via Uplay and Steam.
