Hello Games have revealed the first details of No Man’s Sky’s next big update, which releases sometime this summer.
Murray was keen to stress that the addition of an online component does not mean the game is becoming an MMO.
“Whilst this [No Man’s Sky Online] brings people together like never before, and has many recognisable online elements, we don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO – it won’t require a subscription, won’t contain microtransactions, and will be free for all existing players.” For the time being, there’s little information about what else Beyond will feature, but more details are set to be unveiled “in the coming weeks.” What do you think No Man’s Sky’s “most ambitious chapter so far” will include? Rebellion have confirmed a follow up to Sniper Elite 4 is currently in development, along with a standalone VR title that’s being worked on by Just Add Water (Oddworld, Gravity Crash). The remaster will have “stunning new visuals and a host of new features,” including 4K and HDR support. It’ll also include new playable characters, a photo mode, online multiplayer for up to 16 players and comes with all previously released DLC. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered launches sometime later this year. You can check out the trailer below. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Turtle Rock Studios (Evolve, Left 4 Dead) have announced that a "next-gen co-operative FPS" is being developed for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with other platforms a possibility.
Founders packs, pre-order bonuses and DLC are being considered but the main focus, for now, is creating a "great, complete, fun game."

New trailer reveals more of Mortal Kombat 11's story, trio of playable characters confirmed14/3/2019 Ahead of last Thursday's Kombat Kast, a new story trailer premiered, shedding light on the time-bending narrative of Mortal Kombat 11 and its mysterious antagonist, Kronika. Three more characters have been added to the roster. Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs and Erron Black will all be returning for their second outing. You can see Cassie in action below. Let us know below or over in the forums. 343 Industries have announced that a PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is in the works and Halo: Reach is being added to the compendium. 343 are hoping to deliver a "first class" experience on PC, with plans for platform native features such as "excellent mouse and keyboard controls, support for multiple resolutions and aspect ratios, field-of-view sliders, and adjustable framerates," along with controller support.
Reach will be added on Xbox One via the "Intelligent Delivery" feature. The multiplayer content (including Forge and Theater) will be automatically included for everyone who owns The Master Chief Collection, whilst the Campaign and Firefight content will be offered as a premium add-on. Game Pass members can expect the entirety of Reach to be included with their subscription. Over on PC, Campaign, Firefight and Multiplayer are going to be packaged together for purchase.
