Two new Sonic titles coming in 201724/7/2016 As the world's fastest hedgehog celebrated 25 years in the business on Friday, SEGA revealed that two new Sonic games are planned for 2017. It will feature a re-imagining of iconic Zones and Acts from Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles, as well as new Zones, Acts and bosses. Take a look at the trailer below: Takashi Iizuka, Head of Sonic Team, had this to say: “Sonic Mania was born out of our fans’ love of the classic Sonic 2D platform games. This type of collaboration is a first for SEGA and we hope everyone will be both surprised and delighted by this title. Sonic Mania has been a passion project for the entire team and we look forward to sharing more details about it later this year. Having the game actually playable at the event itself tonight was testament to the dedication of the team behind it.” Moreover, SEGA have released some screenshots: At the end of the party a second game was announced. Very little was shared about this title, aside from the "Holiday 2017" release date and the trailer below: It was also revealed that the mobile game, Sonic Dash, has been downloaded over 200 million times.
In celebration of Sonic’s anniversary, Sonic Dash has a special in-game event that includes the Green Hill Zone and Classic Sonic as a playable character. The event lasts for a single week, but players can unlock both the Zone and the character for use after it has ended. The game is free-to-play with optional microtransactions, and can be downloaded from the usual places. And finally, Nintendo 3DS title Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice arrives 30 September. Some new footage of Infinite Warfare has emerged from San Diego Comic-Con, detailing the UNSA Retribution and showcasing the opening level of the campaign. Despite the future setting, the Retribution features a “gritty, raw environment” and a design layout inspired by modern day naval carriers and space craft. Check it out for yourself in the video tour below: The campaign footage released shows a hefty chunk of the opening level, in which the game’s enemies, the SDF, have attacked the UNSA during a fleet-week parade. In it we see some of the game’s new features, weapons and space combat in action: Lastly, it was also confirmed during SDCC that the classic Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer map, Terminal, will be making a return in Infinite Warfare for those who pre-order the game. Re-imagined to match the futuristic aesthetic, the map now features a moon base setting which “accommodates for new gameplay and visually raises the bar”. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is out 4 November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

San Diego Comic Con is taking place this week, and Telltale Games have divulged some more info on their upcoming third season of the hit series. Telltale will be sharing details on how to grab a limited edition run of the new poster this summer. In addition to the poster, new screens were released, the first of which depicts the duo navigating their way through a slaughterhouse infested by walkers. Telltale have stated that you'll be playing as both characters, but not necessarily at the same time. The third season will continue the established story, whilst also acting as an entry point for new fans. In the second image we see Clementine with young AJ, Rebecca's son from Season 2. His appearance will provide new players with a little bit of backstory, whilst returning players will see the result of decisions they made in the past. The Walking Dead's Creative Director, Dennis Lenart, discussed the importance of playing as Javier - a survivor trying to keep his family together during the undead apocalypse - and, rather cryptically, notes that it's an interesting opportunity for players to take control of a survivor who they may have helped shape.

In the latest footage released by Xbox earlier today, JD and the crew battle against harsh weather conditions and some even harsher Swarm. A Gears of War 4 limited edition 2TB Xbox One S was also revealed today, featuring a blood-red colour scheme and the iconic crimson skull logo. The console comes bundled with a download code for Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition, as well as some exclusive content, including two retro packs for the characters Del and Oscar. Gears of War 4 is out 11 October as a Play Anywhere title for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will be granted early access to the game from 7 October.

Episode 1: Realm of Shadows goes live 2 August and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC, Mac, iOS and Android. Have a look at the release trailer below, but be aware that it carries a mature rating and younger Bat-fans need not apply. Alfred may believe that there's room for both Batman and Bruce Wayne in that suit, but it's up to you to decide the best course of action. The diplomatic relations of Mr. Wayne could be jeopardised by the, altogether more violent, activities of his alter-ego, and vice versa; decisions made by Bruce could have far reaching consequences and make Gotham an even more dangerous place for Batman. So far, there's only been a short list of characters revealed, including Harvey Dent, Vicki Vale, Alfred Pennyworth, James Gordon, Carmine Falcone and Selina Kyle. You may notice a certain, eccentric, someone lacking from that list, but more will be unveiled in due time. Would Telltale pass up the chance to incorporate one of entertainment’s most iconic villains in their story? Only time will tell. Are you looking forward to BATMAN - The Telltale Series? The original Dead Rising is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It's not yet known if these will be remastered versions or simply ports, but it's worth noting that Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record are already available on PC, and the lack of a re-release for this platform could suggest it’s the latter.
This will be the first time the original zombie brawler makes its appearance on a PlayStation console or PC, having previously been an Xbox 360 exclusive. Dead Rising 2 and the Frank West flavoured remake were released on PS3, but the third instalment was once again an Xbox One console exclusive. The fourth entry in the series will be a timed exclusive when it launches in December, but could find it's way to Sony's machine a year later. Capcom have said they'll have more news to share about the re-releases soon. Are you looking forward to returning to the series' inception? A PlayStation fan wondering what all the fuss is about? PlayStation 4 owners may have had to wait a little longer for Rise of the Tomb Raider to arrive on their platform of choice, but their patience is set to be rewarded when a special edition of the game launches on 11 October. The new story content found in Blood Ties gives players the task of proving Lara is the rightful heir to Croft Manor after her uncle contests ownership. Blood Ties will also feature a mode called ‘Lara’s Nightmare’, in which players must rid a haunted Croft Manor of zombies (because, computer games). The aforementioned VR support for Blood Ties sees players try to tackle the content from a first person perspective, a first in the franchise’s history. The new co-op take on Endurance mode will allow two people to team up to raid tombs and survive the wilderness together. Much like the Survivor difficulty in the solo campaign, Endurance players will need to find fuel to light campfires and food in order to regenerate health, with resources being limited. It’s not just in Endurance mode where things will be getting tough, as the solo campaign will be receiving a new ‘Extreme Survivor’ difficulty setting. Extreme Survivor takes all the added challenges of the regular Survivor difficulty, but removes all checkpoints found in the campaign, with the lighting of campfires the only way to save progress. There are also re-imagined versions of Tomb Raider III’s Hailstorm pistol and cold-weather outfit, and a special ‘Classic Lara’ card pack that allows players to give Lara a more retro look. Five character models from throughout the franchise’s history will be available, one of which can be seen in the image below. All new content from the 20 Year Celebration edition (minus VR support) will be available to Xbox One and PC users via an updated Season Pass. For those who already own the Season Pass, the additional content will be available at no extra cost.
All new and previously released content is included in the PS4 version, so there will be no Season Pass for this platform. No price for the game has been released yet. The online 'Choose Your Hit' campaign, in which fans voted on who they would like to assassinate, has ended - and the 'winner' is Gary Busey.
Starting from 13:00 BST on Thursday, players will have 168 hours (7 days) to locate The Wildcard and take him down. As with the previous contracts, he won't appear as a target on the mini-map or when using instinct, so make sure you pay attention to Diana's briefing.
Remember that saves are temporarily disabled and the target won't return if they are spooked; you only have one chance. The HITMAN Companion app, free to download on iOS and Android, will send notifications whenever a new Elusive Target is released and can be used to view the briefing video, an image of the target and how much time you have left to complete the contract. Will you be hunting Gary Busey? Let us know in the forums or comment below. Xbox One S launches 2 August18/7/2016 The slimline version of Microsoft's console will set you back £349 and features an internal 2TB hard drive. That's right, the Xbox One S is 40% smaller and the chunky power supply is housed within the console itself. It'll be small enough to stand vertically, if that's your thing.
You'll be able to watch Blu-ray films and stream videos in full 4K HD with HDR (High Dynamic Range), this will also be supported by some games, like Gears of War 4, Scalebound and Forza Horizon 3. One of the three USB ports and the pairing button have been moved to the front of the Xbox One S for ease of access, alongside the newly added IR blaster. Also included is the new Xbox One Wireless Controller, which features textured grips, improved wireless signal and Bluetooth support. All games, accessories and services will work with the new console out of the box. If you're interested, you'd better get to pre-ordering, as Microsoft warn that demand is high and stocks are limited. Will you be picking up the Xbox One S? Let us know in the forums or comment below. The two companies have previously worked together on The Wolf Among Us and now have a retail distribution agreement for the highly anticipated Batman - The Telltale Series, and the third season of the critically acclaimed The Walking Dead. The third season of The Walking Dead introduces a mysterious new character, Javier, whilst continuing the story of Clementine, who’s much older than when we last saw her. Here's that reveal trailer again: Season 3 will likely stick to the same release pattern when it launches in autumn.
