CD Projekt RED have announced that a Game of the Year Edition for their award laden RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is on the way.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition will release 30 August on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The PlayStation flavoured fun isn’t reserved for those attending Gamescom, however, as Sony also revealed that an event called simply ‘The PlayStation Meeting’ is being held at the PlayStation Theater in New York on 7 September. Independent developer, Over The Moon, have announced that the second part of their Metroidvania style trilogy will be releasing in the first quarter of 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux. In an effort to save herself, ARID invades and attempts to control other robots she finds, each with their own personalities and gameplay styles.

QuakeCon 2016 took place in Dallas this weekend, producing some fresh gameplay footage of Quake Champions and Prey. While no release date has been announced for the PC exclusive shooter, it was revealed that a closed beta will take place next year. The latest Prey trailer gives us a short glimpse at some in-game footage of Arkane Studios’ reboot: The game sees players stepping into role of the first human enhanced with alien powers, trapped on a space station currently under assault from an extraterrestrial threat Prey is scheduled for release in 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Also announced at the expo was an open beta for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, the free-to-play strategy card game based on Bethesda’s fantasy RPG franchise. Players interested in participating can download the beta now. The new content includes three maps, a new weapon and equipment item, a new playable demon, and a surplus of customisation options such as patterns, colours, taunts and some new armour sets. Interestingly, id Software's PartyPlay system aims to avoid fragmenting the player base by allowing anyone to play the new maps as long as they're in a party with someone who owns the DLC. Fiddlesticks Games' puzzle adventure promises to bring a spark of colour to PC and consoles later this month. Hue starts with a very limited colour perception. As he starts to uncover the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of his mother and finds pieces of her discarded research, he gains the ability to see and alter colour. By changing the background colour of the world he can manipulate objects and unlock new paths. Check the trailer below: “Hue has been almost universally loved whenever we’ve taken it out to shows,” says Dan Da Rocha, Director at Fiddlesticks, “so we’re incredibly excited to be finally getting into people’s hands properly. We’ve spent the last couple of years in Hue’s world – it’s going to be brilliant to welcome some more visitors.”

Hollywood press may have broken the news a little earlier than planned, but Ubisoft Motion Pictures have today officially announced plans for a film based on The Division. “We are excited to collaborate with Jessica and Jake, two of Hollywood’s most talented actors and perfect creative collaborators to help bring Tom Clancy’s The Division to the big screen,” said Gerard Guillemot, Chief Executive Officer of Ubisoft Motion Pictures.
The Division is one of many Ubisoft titles to be getting a movie makeover, with other projects based on Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, Ghost Recon and Rabbids all currently in development.
