Introducing Two new team members27/9/2016 Attention loving fans of Pass the Controller, for I have news - two new challengers are approaching. From distant lands (of Spain and...Bath) these two mortals have chosen to ascend to the ranks of Team PTC to bring you guys more of the content you love.
At this moment, my favourite game so far has been The Last of Us by Naughty Dog. For me, I felt like it broke the fourth wall for traditional 3rd person RPGs and set a benchmark in the potential video games have as an interactive storytelling medium. It had a healthy balance of challenging gameplay, exploration and its story always remained integral. Other favourites of mine include Doom, Fallout, Tomb Raider and the Uncharted series. I was fortunate to be able to demo the PSVR at EGX this year, and for the most part, I'm very excited. I enjoy a plethora of Playstation games including their exclusives and I look forward to seeing more of VR titles such as Farpoint and Batman VR in the coming months. I feel like VR will be the perfect platform for survival horror, so I have high hopes for the reboot of Resident Evil as well this year. PSVR is competing with already established Rivals such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, and in light of this I'm anticipating the direction Sony will choose to take in the coming months after the PSVR releases.
However, let’s get to my credentials, and I’m not talking about my media background, I mean the real deal, Video Games. I started gaming as a kid with my mother and father on various consoles, but the one I spent more time with was the PSOne and I can say I might have spent 15/16 years of my 20 years of life playing video games. And when it comes to choosing a favourite game it is very hard for me, so I’ll go with the Half-Life series, because it was the first game I remember playing it by myself, and also playing with friends online with it, but who knows maybe I put a video up someday talking about games I love.
In the long run, videogames have been a big part of my life and they will be, so who knows what the future of gaming is bringing us, the only thing I know for certain is that it will be exciting and that I’ll tag along for the ride, whether it is the Nintendo NX (SHOW IT TO US NINTENDO!) or VR or a horse that doubles up as a console, I don’t care, because I’ll enjoy it regardless. P.S. If you have anything to say to me, just tweet me @lemastanley The rogue-like space shooter boasts some impressive graphics, intense dogfights and a deep non-linear story, as well as on-the-go crafting and upgrading systems. The goal of the game is to reach your destination. This will entail finding your way through a system and gathering enough fuel to start your jump drive, launching you into the next. Players will need to gather enough resources on the way to upgrade their ship in order to take on the tougher challenges that await. Take a look at the explosion-heavy launch trailer to see the combat and navigation in action: Here's a look at some sumptuous screenshots: Death is likely in Everspace, but it needn't be a hindrance. Dying will allow you to permanently upgrade your spacecraft in numerous ways, such as boosting your shield capacity, enhancing sensors, improving weapons, attaching armoured plates and more. Most ship upgrades will be directly visible, some having a greater impact than others.
Death may also make you think twice about tactics; flying in all guns blazing could leave your ship with significant wear and tear and in need of patching up, but it could result in you acquiring some valuable resources. Cloaking your ship and trying to sneak past foes might mean you absorb less damage, but you could miss out on some precious materials. Once you reach your goal, you can start a new run and a different course will be plotted, making it unlikely that you'll happen upon the same scenarios twice. Early Access / Xbox Preview Program features:

The multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare provides a wealth of customisation never before seen in the series. You can take a look at some of what the full game offers below: The content of the beta will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Things will be slightly different come October as DICE have taken notice of every bug, glitch and balancing issue that players reported during the recent beta and are improving a few things ahead of next month's launch.
Other elements are being looked at, such as the balancing of vehicles and weapons. Many thought the Light Tank was a little too effective and that horses shouldn't be able to absorb quite as many rounds. More tools will be added to deal with vehicles earlier, including a gadget for the Support class which should help neutralize powerful vehicles.
What did you think of the beta? Looking forward to the release on 21 October? Let us know in the forums or leave a comment below. Also, for those who were unable to go hands-on with the beta, James has recorded some expert gameplay footage. Flying planes with precision, dominating the enemy team and leading his squad to victory are just a fraction of the things that our Editor couldn't quite manage. Although, he does a fantastic job when it comes to pointing out locations of the snipers who relentlessly target him. Take a look for yourself, but beware there's some not safe for work language: The action packed trailer shows off some fast, frantic moments and introduces some of the characters you'll be fighting with and against, including a returning favourite. A familiar face joins Marcus and his companions; Blume Corporation's "public enemy number one" and former associate of Aiden Pearce, Raymond Kenney. A.K.A. T-Bone. Check him out in all of his beardy glory below: Watch Dogs 2 goes on sale 15 November on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. PS4 users will have 30 day exclusive access to all post-launch DLC.
