In the year 2097, a ground-breaking championship was created for entertainment and soon after all other sports became obsolete. The stars of Elevate Combat League are armed athletes, called RUNNERS, who fight each other individually, or in teams, in high tech arenas which can be altered in real time by the combatants.
The game's flagship mode, Ricochet, is a deadly contact sport where players will fight for control of a ball with which they can score goals.
Players will be split into leagues based on their rank. League points will be earned after every match, based on performance, and at the end of a league season players could receive a promotion or face relegation.

“We’re thrilled to give press and public a preview of our new game, Elevate Combat League,” said Andy Santos, Design Director of Atomicom. “With Elevate we will push the competitive sports-arena shooter into exciting new territory. The ability to sculpt the level offers great tactical depth, while the skills players are equipped with means they can react quickly to the challenges of a rapidly changing arena.”

Elevate Combat League is planned for release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Those attending EGX can go hands-on with an early build of the game.
