Battalion 1944 enters Steam Early Access next month

Battalion 1944 has previously only been playable during closed alpha tests, but from 1 February Steam users will be able to pick up the game for £11.99/€14.99/$14.99. The Early Access version will come with six game modes, which the developer will share more details on in the coming weeks.

To celebrate the game entering Early Access, Bulkhead are hosting a beta this month. The beta takes place from 19 – 21 January, and will feature the Domination and Wartide game modes on the Manor House V1 and Liberation maps respectively.
 
Anybody who backed the game through Humble or Kickstarter will have access to the beta (PC tier only) while everyone else can try their luck by signing up here.
 
Unlike previous tests, Bulkhead have confirmed those participating in the open beta won’t be under any NDA, so players are free to share footage, images and stream gameplay.
 
“It feels good to get Battalion 1944 into the hands of gamers after working on it so hard,” says Joe Brammer, Studio Lead at Bulkhead Interactive.
 
“We’ve been testing the game behind closed doors with our Kickstarter backers. It’s now time for us to extend our testing to Early Access to help what I believe can be one of the best competitive FPS games ever.”
