It looks as though the newest team member could be a support-sniper.

Over on Twitter, Overwatch's official account tweeted a picture of a new weapon blueprint - the Prototype Biotic Rilfe. Designed by Torbjörn, the rifle uses the same technology found in Soldier: 76's healing ability and Mercy's staff.

In a message to fellow Overwatch team mates, Soldier: 76 and Reaper, Torbjörn states:

"As discussed, this is the proposed rifle that could be equipped by medics in the field. Despite what my esteemed colleague will surely suggest, the application of her biotic technology is only intended to be used for healing."

Mercy isn't exactly enthused with the news, however, responding:

"While Torbjörn has, as ever, put forth a very clever design for his latest weapon, I would like to remind everyone that my intention when agreeing to the development of different biotic delivery mechanisms was to save the lives of Overwatch agents and others in need of medical aid. With this latest proposal, it is clear to me that we are on the slippery slope to modifications that will inevitably result in a weaponized version of this technology: something that I have been completely opposed to from the beginning."

Due to hints included in the game, many fans believe that the new sniper could be named Sombra, the Spanish for 'Shadow'.

On the Dorado map, newspapers strewn across the street read "Quien es Sombra?" (“Who is Shadow?”) and a classified file titled "Sombra" can be found in the LumeriCo building.

Also, one of Reaper's voice lines, "Where’s Sombra when you need her?", could suggest a healer type.
