2K and Gearbox have confirmed a September release date for Borderlands 3 and shared new footage of the game in action. The game supports drop in/drop out co-op for up to four players, including local split-screen action for you and a friend, with the experience scaled to each player. Loot will be instanced individually, with rewards that are “yours alone.” Fans of the series will be glad to hear there’s no shortage of over-the-top weapons available, including rifles that spawn volcanoes and guns that chase enemies whilst hurling insults. Head on over to the official website to pre-order and take a look at the special editions on offer. Arriving alongside news of the release date is the remaster of the original game. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is available as of today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and boasts improved visuals and includes all previously released DLC. Gearbox also released a free Ultra HD Texture Pack for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which offers improved visuals and textures for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2. The pack is completely optional, with players able to download it from the games’ relevant store pages. Borderlands 3 is out 13 September on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
