Following a premature video reveal yesterday, Torn Banner Studios have officially confirmed that their medieval multiplayer brawler, Chivalry 2, is coming to both the current and next generation of consoles as well as PC.
The sequel will feature improved visuals and larger battles than its predecessor, with up to 64-players able to take part in storming castles and raiding villages as part of the game’s expanded grand Team Objective mode.
Torn Banner have also added more voice-lines, battle cries and deeper character customisation for “enhanced player expression,” and the game’s combat system has been revamped for a much “faster and more fluid” experience. A new downed state has been introduced, giving teammates the opportunity to revive fallen allies, and players will also be able to battle on despite the loss of a limb or equipment so that they can “stay in the action until you’ve bled your last drop.” There’s no Chivalry 2 release date just yet, though the game is said to be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store (EGS) sometime later this year.
