Epic Games announce publishing partnership with developers Remedy, Playdead and gen DESIGN26/3/2020 Epic Games have announced a new partnership deal with three studios that will see them handling publishing duties for their upcoming titles across multiple platforms.
Once a game has been released and the initial development costs have been recouped, Epic and the development team will be splitting all profits made, with studios said to be getting “at least 50% of all profits.”
"gen DESIGN, Remedy, and Playdead are among the most innovative and talented studios in the industry, with strong visions for their next games. They will have full creative control, while Epic will provide a solid foundation of project funding and services,” said Hector Sanchez, Head of Epic Games Publishing. While there’s no details on what the three studios who have partnered with Epic are working on, more information will be announced “in the coming months.” What do you think of Epic’s new take on publishing?
