Friday the 13th delayed until next year, single player being added

Gun Media and IllFonic are adding a single player campaign and AI bots for offline play, after being flooded with requests from fans.

This will, unfortunately, mean the title is getting pushed back. Previously penned to release in autumn 2016, the multiplayer component of Friday the 13th will now be launching sometime in spring of next year, whilst the single player modes won't see release until summer.

Also announced was the addition of Tommy Jarvis as a playable character and a new map, Packanack Lodge.

Those who have already backed the game, or pre-ordered, will receive the single player modes for free. For everyone else, the price of the digital edition will be increasing from $30 to $40 (or equivalent). Physical copies will be staying at $60.

A beta is still planned for later this year and anyone who has backed the project on Kickstarter will receive a beta key earlier than anyone else, along with four more to give out to friends. All pre-orders that have been made to date, and any that are made from now until the start date, will also receive five beta keys.
