More games added to Xbox One backwards compatibility list

The next wave of Xbox 360 titles to be made available for play on Xbox One via a free update have today been announced.

The selection offers something for just about everyone, with a range of genres including RPG, point & click adventure, competitive online FPS and racing on offer. That said, it’ll have a hard time pleasing when the most requested games are conspicuous in their absence. ​

The latest offerings to make the cut are as follows:

• Aegis Wing
• Age of Booty
• Counter-Strike: GO
• Jeremy McGrath's Offroad
• Sam & Max Save The World
• Skullgirls
• Small Arms
• Soulcalibur
• Space Giraffe
• The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

As a bonus, The Witcher 2 can be downloaded for free by Xbox Live Gold and Silver members alike from today until 5 February.

Since the feature launched in November we've seen titles launch in monthly blocks, but Major Nelson has announced that from now on games will release as and when they are ready.
