New details on Season 3 of The Walking Dead

San Diego Comic Con is taking place this week, and Telltale Games have divulged some more info on their upcoming third season of the hit series.

A poster revealed today is an homage to the original that was shown at SDCC all the way back in 2011. Unlike the original, Clementine has grown to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Javier.

Telltale will be sharing details on how to grab a limited edition run of the new poster this summer.

In addition to the poster, new screens were released, the first of which depicts the duo navigating their way through a slaughterhouse infested by walkers.

Telltale have stated that you'll be playing as both characters, but not necessarily at the same time.

​The third season will continue the established story, whilst also acting as an entry point for new fans. In the second image we see Clementine with young AJ, Rebecca's son from Season 2. His appearance will provide new players with a little bit of backstory, whilst returning players will see the result of decisions they made in the past.

The Walking Dead's Creative Director, Dennis Lenart, discussed the importance of playing as Javier - a survivor trying to keep his family together during the undead apocalypse - and, rather cryptically, notes that it's an interesting opportunity for players to take control of a survivor who they may have helped shape.
