Red Dead Redemption 2 delayed until October, new screenshots revealed

Rockstar Games have divulged a solid release date for their upcoming cowboy adventure, but it's a little later than planned.

Red Dead Redemption 2 had already been pushed back once and was expected to release in the first half of 2018. The developers announced the delay via Rockstar Newswire with a message to fans and a handful of new screenshots.

"We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish."

Rockstar signed off with the news that they'll be sharing a lot more information "in the coming weeks."
