Rare have confirmed a week-long delay for Forsaken Shores, the latest major update coming to Sea of Thieves. Executive Producer Joe Neate hinted at a possible delay last week, highlighting the team’s intention to avoid the same sort of “issues” that accompanied the release of the last few updates.
“This was not a decision that was taken lightly, and we know this may disappoint fans who were looking to play the update this week,” read the post. “That said, our priority is to deliver a stable, polished and bug-free experience and we feel that the extra week of development will enable us to do this.” Available for free to all Sea of Thieves players, the Forsaken Shores update adds a new region for players to explore known as The Devil’s Roar, complete with burning seas and volcanoes. It’ll also see the introduction of rowboats to the game. Looking forward to the update? Disappointed by the delay? Let us know below. Leave a Reply. |
