Bethesda have announced that not only will the titles be updated to support mods, but they'll also be PS4 Pro compatible. Aside from the header screenshot, Bethesda have released two more images to show how Skyrim should look. Whilst this is great news for PS4 owners, it does come with a caveat; straight from Bethesda themselves:
"You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do." This means that only assets found in the base game and any DLC can be used in PS4 compatible mods. As stated, most mods use assets from in game so it won't have a huge impact on what is available, but if you were hoping for Nicolas Cage or Thomas the Tank Engine to make an appearance you will be disappointed. Excited about mod support for PS4? Looking forward to the enhanced visuals Pro will offer? Share your sadness about the exclusion of Mr. Cage in the forums or comments below. Leave a Reply. |
