Ubisoft have announced a free weekend for their MMO-like shooter, with PC, PS4 and Xbox One players able to play the entirety of the base game for free during the course of the four-day event. Of course, people who are interested in The Division have been able try the game for a while now, thanks to the free trial that went live on all platforms earlier in the year, but this weekend does away with the restrictions found in the extended demo.
Previously, players could only use the trial until they hit six-hours of game time, or their character reached level 8, but those restrictions are being put on “hiatus”, according to Ubisoft, with those who downloaded the trial before 4 May able to play on with no limits until the free weekend’s conclusion on Monday. As well as the free weekend, Ubisoft are also planning to release the first two major updates from The Division’s Year 2 content, which should be launching for free across all platforms sometime “in the coming months”. Will you be giving The Division a try this weekend? Let us know below or over in the forums. Leave a Reply. |
