There’s a new Transformers game coming to PC and consoles this October

Toy company Hasbro and video games publisher Outright Games have teamed up to bring a brand-new family friendly Transformers title to PC and consoles later this year.

Developed by UK studio Coatsink, Transformers: Battlegrounds is described as a game for “kids and fans of all ages” that sees players teaming up with Bumblebee and the Autobots to stop Megatron  getting hold of the All Spark. The game’s campaign will feature battles that “will range from Central City to Cybertron in both single player and multiplayer action.”

“The Transformers franchise is one of the most enduring and recognizable in the world of entertainment,” said Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games. “It’s an honour to work with this beloved universe and these iconic characters to create a new and exciting Transformers console game that families can enjoy together.”

Apart from the above trailer, not much other information on the game was revealed alongside the announcement, but more details are set to be shared later this summer, according to the press release.

Transformers: Battlegrounds is out 23 October on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
