The Brazilian ratings board have seemingly confirmed that Bioshock: The Collection will be coming to PC and consoles after a listing on a South African online store sparked rumours of the game’s existence last year. With no new entry in the series confirmed to be in development since 2K Games took over creative control following the disbanding of original developer, Irrational Games, it may be the only chance to see a Bioshock release any time soon.
According to the rating, Bioshock: The Collection will release in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, as well as PS3 and Xbox 360. There’s no news from 2K Games confirming or denying the existence of any collection just yet, but two leaks pertaining to one product would suggest it’s only a matter of time before we see an official announcement. Problems included long wait times in matchmaking and being unable to participate in Battle Lounge after being in the same lounge for a set amount of time. These problems should now be fixed. Some users reported that their match results were not being sent to the server but Capcom have assured us that is mostly a UI bug. Check your battle results if you are unsure. Also, Some of the more recent replay data won’t be available immediately when searching the replay database but this is being worked on. All of your personal replays are immediately available via your fighter profile. Some of the other issues being addressed are: some user names not showing up in Rival Search, some user names not displaying properly on battle results screen and ranking functionality not working properly on the Capcom Fighter's Network. If you experience any issues you can tweet @SFVServer. Content will be added throughout the year - you can expect new fighters, costumes and a cinematic story expansion. The first update, along with the opening of the in-game store, is planned for March. Turns out Telltale Games' Tales from the Borderlands will be releasing on disc - it will available for PS4 and Xbox One from 22 April this year and is exclusive to GAME. It's lighter than a lot of Telltale's previous work thanks to the classic Borderlands humour but that doesn't mean it's any less intriguing. Check out the trailer above. The Xbox Games With Gold line up for next month may have been leaked. The rumour alleges that Crimes and Punishments: Sherlock Holmes and Lords of the Fallen will be the Xbox One titles, with Supreme Commander and Borderlands for the Xbox 360. Since November all Xbox 360 games offered through the program will be backwards compatible. Free-to-play MOBA SMITE is coming to PS4. It's currently in closed alpha but the closed beta begins early next month. The PS4 Founder’s Pack will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Store during the closed beta and will grant you full access to all current gods, all future gods Ymir's “C4codemon” skin, Ares’ “Soldier of Fortune” skin, 400 gems and a key for instant beta access. If you don't want to buy the Founders Pack just yet you can sign up to the closed beta here. Odin’s “World’s Collide” skin and Kulkulkan’s “KuKu4” skin will be exclusive to PS4. The open beta for Tom Clancy's The Division is currently running and there's a little more content this time around. If you missed the closed beta have a look at our preview to get Editor James' thoughts on Ubisoft's open world shooter.
As always you can share your thoughts with our community in the forums. The ten hour free trial for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is now live for EA Access and Origin Access members on Xbox One and PC respectively. The game is set to launch next Tuesday, 23 February, so this is the perfect time to give it a shot - especially if you missed last month's open beta.
The original Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was a class-based third person shooter and, whilst it wasn't exactly reinventing the genre, it was a very solid game. The sequel looks to expand on that with extra classes, game modes and maps, along with more customisation options than you could fit in a decently sized wheelbarrow. If you enjoy the free trial you can also download the Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare from the vault, absolutely free. An Access subscription will set you back £3.99 a month, or one upfront payment of £19.99 for 12 months. That's quite a saving. The next title to be getting a free Access trial will be EA's UFC 2, look out for that 10 March. Did you play the PvZ:GW2 open beta? Will you be downloading the trial? Let us know over in the forums, whilst keeping an eye on the homepage for our upcoming review. Open world hack-a-thon Watch Dogs will be getting a sequel some time before April 2017. Lionel Raynaud of Ubisoft Montreal has previously admitted in an interview that Watch Dogs was "a flawed game" and that radical changes would be needed for a second title. Whilst the idea was good the execution was lacking. The driving, a large part of the game, was maybe a little too twitchy, and many thought that protagonist Aiden Pearce was dull and unlikable. Although the hacking mechanic was a great addition and really set the game apart from other analogous open world games. Watch Dogs' first outing was in May 2014 so let's hope that Ubisoft have had time to iron out the creases in what was a very interesting concept. Also getting a sequel is Destiny. Once again the news comes from an earnings report in which Activision confirmed not only a fully fledged follow up to the shooter, but stated that developer Bungie is planning on releasing "a large new expansion" in 2016.
Bungie have released three expansions to date, The Dark Below, House Of Wolves and The Taken King. Whilst there's no details on the upcoming expansion, The Taken King was a step in the right direction and praised for improving the overall experience, Bungie will no doubt be looking to emulate that success. The developer has added seasonal content in recent months with Festival of the Lost and Sparrow Racing League near the end of last year, and Crimson Days which is currently ongoing. So far the events have mainly been focused on PvP, and fairly light on content, but Bungie have announced via a blog post that a patch is scheduled for a spring release which promises "a significant Light increase, a bunch of new gear to earn and equip, and new challenges for PvE players seeking some more fun experiences and replayability." Are you looking forward to the sequels? Let us know in the forums. Bethesda have released a vault load of details about the first three add-ons for Fallout 4, and shared an important update about the season pass. The star of this show is the mysterious Mechanist, who has "unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain.” According to the press release. “Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions." You can modify your companions in hundreds of ways by mixing armour, abilities, weapons (including a brand new lightning chain gun), paint and voices. Let's hope Codsworth doesn't get jealous. With Wasteland Workshop, scheduled for release in April at £3.99, you can design and set cages to capture live creatures. Yes, that includes Deathclaws, and even unfortunate raiders. It's your choice whether to tame them (who wouldn't want a pet Deathclaw?) or have them fight for your amusement, either facing off against each other or battling your fellow settlers - you monster. The last, and largest, of the three is Far Harbor, which is set for a May release and can be yours for a hefty £19.99. A new case for Valentine's Detective Agency takes you off the coast of Maine, to the island of Far Harbor in search of a young woman and a secret colony of synths. The island has a high level of radiation that has resulted in a more feral landscape than usual, in which you'll witness growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom and the locals. "Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?" Asks Bethesda, enigmatically.
The developer states that Far Harbor has the biggest landmass of any expansion they've created, and features new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons, as well as new higher-level armour and weapons. That's not all though, they've also promised more than £45 worth of new Fallout 4 content will be heading our way during 2016. Given the wealth of DLC that's planned, the price of the season pass is increasing from £24.99 to £39.99 come 1 March, so be sure to snap it up whilst it's cheap if you fancy it. Those who currently own the pass are already set. Not only that, you can sign up for the closed betas to be in with a chance of netting the DLC for free, as testers gain access to the complete packages, achievements and all. If that's not enough, Bethesda will continue to update the game with new features and bug fixes. There's a complete overhaul of Survival Mode coming that’ll change how you play, tweaking food, sleep, diseases, danger and more systems. The new Survival Mode and the Creation Kit, which will allow you to create and play mods, are currently being tested. We'll let you know when more details are released. Are you excited for this glut of new content? Running to your console to secure the season pass at a discounted price? Let us know via our forum. Dark Souls will soon be playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Well, that’s according to a premature listing on the Australian Xbox One Store, which showed the game to be included as a pre-order bonus for Dark Souls III. There’s no official confirmation from Microsoft, but seeing as Fallout 4 and others have come bundled with a backwards compatible copy of their respective predecessors, and the fact that the upcoming Quantum Break will include BC versions of both Alan Wake games, it’s probably safe to leave the salt un-pinched on this one.
The potential inclusion of a BC Dark Souls may be small change to veteran fans of the series already interested in the three special editions available for pre-order, as well as Xbox fans that already claimed a free copy via the Games with Gold programme. For newcomers, it'll make a welcome entry point to this unforgiving series. Dark Souls III is due for release on 12 April for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Remedy have released a ton of pre-order info for the upcoming Quantum Break, as well as confirming that a PC version of the game is in the works and is due to release alongside the Xbox One version on 5 April. The additional copy of Alan Wake and its DLC is not only limited to the special edition bundle however, with Remedy planning to give away a digital copy of their Xbox 360 horror title with every pre-order of Quantum Break. Pre-orders made through the Xbox Store or participating retailers will give you a download code for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and the Windows 10 version of Quantum Break. There's also a branded steel book cover available by pre-ordering from participating retailers. With a number of ways to pick up a PC version of the game, Remedy have helpfully released a list of the minimum and recommended specs. A new live action trailer for the game’s companion series was also released today alongside the glut of pre-order info. Titled ‘The Cemetery’, it gives us a taste of what protagonist, Jack Joyce can do. More, you say? How about a virtual tour of Remedy's studios and the one reason you don't want to get into a snowball fight with Sam Lake? Originally planned for release in 2014, Remedy have pushed Quantum Break back twice to make certain it's a well-polished product. Hardly surprising they wanted the extra time given the premise.
After each 'act' of the game an episode of the show will play. The choices you make at the end of an act will affect the next episode of the show and stay with you throughout. The game will focus on Joyce, who was given various time-bending powers by a time travel experiment gone wrong (when do they ever go well?). You'll be able to use his powers to deflect bullets, quickly dodge between cover and stealthily get the drop on your enemies. The live action show will focus on sinister company Monarch Solutions and Paul Serene, the title's antagonist granted the ability to see different timelines and possible futures by the unfortunate event. It's been a long time coming, but the wait for Quantum Break is almost over. Let us know your thoughts in the forums. The Division’s next beta - this time of the open variety – will be taking place this month, running from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 February, with Xbox One again granted a day’s early access ahead of PC and PlayStation 4. High demand for places in January’s closed beta meant that many who signed up to the waitlist were left empty handed, while some who pre-ordered the game to guarantee access to the test received their keys late. Ubisoft will also be addressing the issue of cheating which blighted the recent beta experience for many PC users, the publisher stating on Ubiblog that the development team had eradicated “most” of the exploits found during the closed beta. To tempt back those of you who are by now already seasoned Agents of The Division (like we are), a new story mission has been added, as well as gifting open-beta participants an in-game reward for when the full version of The Division is released. The Division is out on 8 March for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the new Factions trailer below for a look at the various villains you’ll be going head to head with in the battle to save New York City from ruin. Let us know your thoughts on The Division over in the forums. Bandai Namco have revealed the intro video for the third instalment of the Dark Souls series. There's also details about the three special editions available for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The series is famed for its difficulty and somewhat unique approach to story telling. Rather than bombard you with a plethora of lore about the world you inhabit and the denizens that reside there you are instead drip-fed little nuggets of info, gained from dialogue with NPCs and finding items throughout your quest. This latest entry seems to be just as full of mystery and intrigue. The Apocalypse Edition (only available through pre-order) will net you -

The Prestige Edition, which will set you back £299.99, is sold out on Amazon UK. If you're looking for cheaper options the Collector's Edition is still available at £94.99 and the Apocalypse Edition (only available from GAME) is £49.99 for consoles and £39.99 on PC. The final chapter in the atmospheric RPG is set to release on the 12th April. Let us know your thoughts in the forums. Sorry, chaps and chapettes, looks like you won't be able to play Red Dead Redemption on your Xbox One yet, after all.
