The co-op shooter, which is currently in early access on Steam, launches in July and Gearbox Publishing will be handling the distribution. Retail editions are available to pre-order now with digital versions to follow soon. There are a total of ten missions spread across two campaigns. Players will learn more of the story behind the invasion, and the aliens' intentions, as they progress. "We are excited to bring Earthfall to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 13. By partnering with Gearbox Publishing on a physical release, we’re thrilled that even more fans will be able to get their hands on Earthfall on launch day,” said Russell Williams, CEO of Holospark. “We’ve been hard at work on Earthfall since it first launched in Early Access last year, and we’re really proud of what the game has become. Our thanks to everyone that played Earthfall and shared their feedback, whether that was on Steam or in-person. You’ve helped make the game what is it today.” Starting today, players can pre-order the only retail version, the Deluxe edition, for £39.99/$39.99 /€39.99, which features exclusive character biohazard suits and weapon skins. The standard edition will only be available via digital download and will set you back £29.99/$29.99/€29.99. We're fast approaching shooter season, with Battlefield V's reveal just around the corner and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 being unveiled to the world yesterday. It's a "boots on the ground" affair, shying away from the jetpacks and wall running that featured in some previous Black Ops titles, but maintaining the same feeling of speed and mobility by keeping the player’s gun up so that they can maintain fire in all situations. The Pick 10 Create-a-Class system returns, alongside Specialists, giving players more freedom to be creative with their loadouts, and there's a new Gear category offering more customisation options. One of the biggest changes to the core mechanics is the non-regenerating health. If you get shot up in a firefight you'll need to take a moment to hit the dedicated button and administer a health boosting shot to yourself, or risk a stray bullet ending your run. Have a gander at the action packed reveal trailer. The, now standard, Zombies mode has also had a revamp and Black Ops 4 will launch with three separate campaigns, promising brand new adventures and an all new cast. You can find the trailers for IX, Voyage of Despair and Blood of the Dead below. There's one final mode to round out the package. Blackout is Treyarch's take on the popular Battle Royale genre, with fan-favourite characters, a host of weapons, vehicles (of the land, sea and air varieties), RC-XDs, traps and even zombies, all spread across a huge map with iconic scenes from the series. There was a lot more shown and, provided you've got an hour to spare, you can watch the reveal in full without even leaving this page. If this huge info dump has got you hooked, pre-orders will grant access to the private beta.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases 12 October on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What did you think of the reveal? Let us know below or over in the forums. Battlefield V live reveal on 23 May17/5/2018 DICE are preparing for the live reveal of the latest Battlefield title and have composed a list of reasons to tune in next week.
Battlefield V is said to be a "brand-new experience and still everything you love about Battlefield," which is a bold claim to make about any yearly release.
There's a new setting, both multiplayer and single player modes (including the return of War Stories), new game modes, gameplay changes and - in case you missed it the first time - Trevor Noah. Furthermore, DICE will have answers to all the speculation regarding a recent Easter Egg that was found in Battlefield 1, relating to the big reveal of the next instalment. It all kicks off at 10pm next Thursday and you can watch it live by following any of the links on the official site. Will you be tuning in? Let us know below or over in the forums. Metro Exodus delayed until 201916/5/2018 Originally scheduled to launch later this year, Deep Silver and 4K Games have pushed back the stealth-shooter’s release until the first quarter of 2019. There's always a silver lining though, as it's been confirmed that some brand new gameplay, from a never before seen environment, will be revealed at E3 next month.
Feel free to share your delay displeasure with us below or over in the forums. Saber Interactive and Wired Productions have announced that the retail edition of their retro beat 'em up, Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, will come with super secret day one content. "Since its unveiling to the press and public at recent expos and hands-on events, the reception to Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn has been terrific,” stated Leo Zullo, Managing Director, Wired Productions. “Better than we could have ever imagined, and certainly settles the score of ’94 and puts right the legacy of Shaq Fu. So much so, that we wanted to make the physical retail edition something truly memorable for gamers who prefer something more tangible and collectable. When they open up their box copies we’re genuinely intrigued and excited to gauge players’ reactions to the additional DLC content."
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn launches 5 June and the retail edition will cost £24.99/€29.99/$29.99 on Xbox One and PS4, or £34.99/€39.99/$39.99 on Nintendo Switch. After leaking ahead of time, yesterday Bethesda confirmed that RAGE 2 is indeed a thing with the release of a teaser trailer, and today they followed that up with a first look at RAGE 2’s gameplay. The gameplay reveal was more informative, giving us a taste of the story and showcasing some first-person carnage. The year is 2185, humanity's numbers are on the decline and the Authority wish to rule over those who remain. You are Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland. Robbed of your home and left for dead, you'll be battling bloodthirsty gangs for the tools and technology you need to take down the Authority. RAGE 2 is being developed by id Software (DOOM) and Avalanche Studios (Mad Max) so it would seem that a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter is right up their collective alley.
Bethesda have promised more will be revealed at their BE3 presentation on 10 June. What do you think of the trailer? Excited to see more of what the two AAA studios have in store? Jorgensen also mentioned they are being "conservative" regarding their expectations for the title and they will probably have limited restocking of Anthem, even if it's extremely successful.
There wasn't much else said about the game itself, although EA's Andrew Wilson claimed that Anthem is a "fundamentally social experience" and will "open new ways for fans to join the community and play early, enabling us to shape and refine the game with their input and feedback." It's not clear whether Wilson was referring to an EA Access/Origins trial, a beta, or something altogether different, but we can hope for some more info at EA Play next month. If you're interested in all the ins and outs of EA's business, you can read the full transcript here. How are you finding the long wait to play Anthem? Let us know below or over in the forums.
