Sledgehammer Games are bringing a vintage multiplayer arena to Call of Duty: WWII. The Call of Duty: WWII season pass grants access to four expansions that will be released throughout 2018, adding new and iconic multiplayer maps, more Nazi Zombies chapters as well as new War missions.
Call of Duty: WWII is out 3 November on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Indie developer, The Molasses Flood, are teaming up with Curve Digital to bring their survival title to Nintendo Switch owners. Scout's energy, hunger, thirst and warmth must all be managed or death will come quickly. Forrest Dowling, Lead Designer, thinks it's a perfect fit for the portable console, stating: "Like Scout’s journey of survival, players will be able to shape their story wherever they see fit, be it on the couch, the bus, or even on a boat gently meandering down the Mississippi river.”
“Survival is a tough and draining affair. One lapse in concentration can cause death,” said Simon Byron, Publishing Director at Curve Digital. “That’s why we’re so excited about the Nintendo Switch version of The Flame In The Flood. With the portability of the console, players can survive in short bursts and maintain much needed dedication to the task of living.” The Flame in The Flood is out now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and hits the eShop for Nintendo Switch 12 October. Over The Moon has made the decision to delay The Fall Part 2: Unbound, but it's not necessarily due to development issues. In a developer diary, Over The Moon's CEO, John Warner, provides a detailed look at the gameplay and some of the new features that make Unbound stand out from its predecessor. “We are really excited about our new project and we want to thank all of our fans for their continued patience. The team at Over The Moon have poured their hearts and souls into making sure that everything in The Fall Part 2: Unbound is there for a reason,” said Warner. “With The Fall Part 2: Unbound, our goal is to give players a deeper level of gameplay and story integration than they have ever seen before. We want this game to shock you, excite you, make you laugh, thematically challenge you and put you in situations you have never been in before. It’s our highest goal that video games can change people for the better, and The Fall part 2: Unbound is as rich with interesting ideas as it is fun to play.” For more on Unbound, check out our interview with John Warner at last year's EGX. We'll have more interviews with indie developers in our coverage of EGX 2017, which is coming your way soon.
The Fall Part 2: Unbound is now set to release in February on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, PC, Mac and Linux. Did you play the original? Is this on your radar? Let us know below or over in the forums. PS VR version 2 announced2/10/2017 Sony are releasing a new version of their VR headset with a few minor upgrades. There's also a new processor unit that supports HDR pass through, allowing players to make the most of HDR compatible content on their TV without first having to disconnect the processor unit, although this will only work when the headset is turned off.
Unfortunately, it won't be possible to swap out an old processor unit with the new one, as the connection cables on the newer models are slimmer. There's no word yet on when you can get your hands on the updated PS VR, but the pricing will remain the same and all PS VR games will be compatible with both models. To find out more about those games, take a gander at our collection of PlayStation VR reviews. Thinking about upgrading your headset? Looking to purchase for the first time?
