Cornfox & Bros. have released a cryptic tweet hinting at a possible Switch version of their Zelda-inspired adventure title, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm.
As you can see in the above tweet from the developer, a ticket has been prepared for the game’s protagonist, Hero Arcadian, for a trip from the studio’s Helsinki home to Kyoto, which just happens to be the location of Nintendo’s headquarters, on 11 August.
It also mentions how Hero will be meeting some old friends who may be “planning a surprise.” Given the series’ inspiration and the fact the first game is already available on Nintendo’s hybrid console, a possible Oceanhorn 2 Switch announcement seems likely. Of course, without official confirmation from either party, this is all just speculation for now. We’ll just have to wait until later this summer to know for sure. Did you play the original game? Would you like to see Oceanhorn 2 on Switch? The Game Bakers, best known for their neon boss-rush title Furi, have released some new gameplay footage of their next project, Haven, which is coming to PC and consoles later this year. While the fixed positions of battles appear to indicate a turn-based combat system, fights are actually said to be real-time, with players able to use abilities from each character to mitigate damage and deal out attacks against infected local fauna. Successfully winning an encounter cleanses said creatures of their infection.
We also got a look at some dialogue options and saw more of Yu and Kay’s upgradeable ship that serves as a home base, where it looks like players can craft meals and freely move the camera to explore the ship’s interior. Haven is out sometime this year on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One, where it’ll also be available through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Apart from the above trailer, not much other information on the game was revealed alongside the announcement, but more details are set to be shared later this summer, according to the press release. Metronomik and Sold Out have announced that their musical action adventure game, No Straight Roads, will be coming to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It sounds like the Switch version will have some platform exclusive features, including an Assist Mode that allows a third user to help the two main players by picking up items, transforming props and calling in bonuses. Players will also be able to use the Switch’s touchscreen functionality (when undocked, of course) for easy interaction with props and for picking up items. Xbox One and Switch users can also now pre-order the previously announced Collector’s Edition, which includes a double-sided vinyl record of the game’s OST, a 64-page art book and official NSR drumsticks. If the game sounds familiar, you might recall we declared it Game of the Show for last year’s EGX Rezzed after seeing it in action first-hand. You can find out more by watching the video below. No Straight Roads is out 30 June on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store.

As you can see in the above video, one of the new transformation abilities includes Paper Mario’s 1000-Fold Arms, which allows the 2D plumber to reach distant objects and uncover hidden areas.
The game’s battles are said to require a mix of tactical thinking and puzzle solving skills as players can move enemies into a line to deal out more damage. There’ll also be “humongous bosses” to face off against, and it looks like we’ll be able to explore more open 3D sections during certain points in the game. Paper Mario: The Origami King is out 17 July on Nintendo Switch. Let us know your thoughts on the surprise reveal below or over in the forums. Voidpoint, 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment are bringing the retro-inspired FPS Ion Fury to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch later this month.

“We wanted to make sure the gory fun from the PC version felt just as great on consoles,” said Mike Nielsen, CEO of 3D Realms. “We never thought we would see the day where we could use the Build engine on modern consoles, but we think our players will enjoy the efforts of Voidpoint and General Arcade’s fantastic work.” Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will run at 60 frames per second, but there’s no mention of the same for the Switch version. Ion Fury is available now on Steam and launches digitally 14 May on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
