Community round-up XXIX1/9/2016 A lot has happened this week. Unfortunately, very few screenshots of said happenings exist, which is why the introductory image is two villains, complete with top hats and monocles, dropping sacks of puppies into a volcano. You can tell that they are evil because they seem to be enjoying it and they have red eyes. Or maybe they're demons, I don't know, I didn't put a lot of thought into it.
Our Editor has helpfully put together another video with his thoughts on round two of the test, which you can see below: The Battlefield 1 open beta also kicked off this week. We would have had a fantastic squad on Wednesday if server problems hadn't prevented a few of us from getting into a game or joining a party. Decent Jam even managed to find his way into a match in which he was the only player. If he could have found someone else, we imagine they would have ran up and embraced one another... before going at it with bayonets, in a scene reminiscent of I Have No Mouth Yet I Must Scream. Some folks have been playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. If you're looking for a quick run-down, you can check out James' video review below: It wasn't hitting the right spot for Sam, who posted, "Started the game guns blazing and found the combat to be really sloppy and unsatisfying. I'm going to restart and stealth my way through." It wasn't long before he changed his mind, though. Our Head Writer stuck with it and revised his previous statement: Glad to say I'm really enjoying this after the slow and shaky start. Got myself addicted and it's all I want to play We hope he'll get the chance but our Sam has been having a lot of quickies recently (No, not like that, get your mind out of the gutter) and he and Jam have just tag teamed Inversus (Stop it). In what I hope will become a regular feature, we go over to Dictionary Corner with ImmaturityRules. After discovering that 'mammaries' is not a word, he tried his luck once again. This time he had more success. Good to see that he's living up to his moniker. Will we see something even better next week? We certainly hope so. After hearing about some changes to the formula in Dead Rising 4, MrkDhn10 was immediately put off. His concerns were, mainly, the lack of a timer - which he feels is "part of its DNA", and the inclusion of regenerating health. Sam agrees that these aspects are bad ideas but is a little more optimistic, opining, "I'm sure it still feels very Dead Rising when you get your hands on it." DE4N MUFC is on board though, "I'm glad the timer has been ditched, I like to take my time to explore and kill zombies at my leisure." Personally, I'm torn; I liked DR3's almost non-existent timer at first, but after levelling up enough it felt a little too easy. However, we should remember why the series is such a hit: It's just comical and fun to bash zombie heads in with novelty items Never were truer words written, Dean. Although, I would add that wearing a ridiculous costume whilst doing so elevates it even further. With no videos, I'm left with little choice but to present an old one of mine. It's not exactly 'Clip of the Week' material, although it makes up for the lack of a Plas Fail. We leave you with the opening theme from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Those of you who like what you hear, can find, and purchase, the full soundtrack on iTunes.
