SEGA and Relic Entertainment have announced the dates for the upcoming Dawn of War III open beta, which runs from Friday 21 – Monday 24 April. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, the long-awaited third instalment in the RTS series, launches 27 April on PC. If you want to try the game ahead of its release later this month, you can sign up for the open beta here.

With Yooka-Laylee releasing in just a few days’ time, Playtonic have moved quickly to resolve some of the more outstanding issues which led to mixed review scores ahead of the game’s launch. The update is already available on Xbox One, while Playtonic hope to have it ready for PS4 and PC ahead the game’s launch on 11 April. To celebrate Yooka-Laylee’s impending release, a special arcade version of the game will be playable at the Loading Bar, London, from 10 April for a limited time. Designed by Bespoke Arcades, the machine is said to contain “state-of-the-art” technology that allows players to switch instantly between Yooka-Laylee and “a host of cherished arcade favourites”.

Xbox One players will soon be able to design huge megacities of their own when the metropolis-building simulator launches on the console in a few weeks’ time. The Xbox One version of the game also comes with the After Dark expansion, which adds a day and night cycle and allows players “to plan and design for their cities’ nightlife and tourist attractions” by introducing new buildings like casinos and luxury hotels.

Volition’s next over-the-top, open-world shooter is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC this August, the Saint’s Row developer has confirmed. Originally revealed at E3 last year, Volition’s Agents of MAYHEM is set after the events of the Saints Row IV: Gat out of Hell expansion, and has players running a “no-holds barred operation against the shadowy super-villain organization, LEGION, fighting to take back the world after the horrors of Devil’s Night.”
