@pass_controller

Starting today, EA Access/Origins subscribers are given full access to the game's multiplayer component. For those without a membership to the service, the trial will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and Origins for PC from 2 December. All of your progress will carry over if you decide to unlock the game.
Titanfall 2 was nominated for the Game of the Year award from The Game Awards and has received hefty amounts of praise for both the improved multiplayer experience and the single player campaign. To further add to its bragging rights, all maps, modes and weapons released post launch will be free to all.

This has already started with Angel City’s Most Wanted. Featuring the fully remastered fan favourite Angel City map from the original, Angel City’s Most Wanted introduces additional free content including the Wingman Elite Pistol, six new Titan kits, and a brand new Pilot execution.

Angel City’s Most Wanted also gives players the ability to purchase cosmetic items for their Pilot and Titan.

Players who pre-ordered Titanfall 2
will get access to the Angel City map as of today, whilst everyone else will be able to play it from 3 December.

LEGO Worlds tasks players with becoming a Master Builder by helping out LEGO characters in a “galaxy of imaginative worlds made entirely of digital LEGO bricks where players can explore, discover and create together.”
Help a King find a lost sword, halt a Zombie army threatening a farm or even help a Caveman build a new home. Players can build brick by brick, or place down huge, pre-built structures to speed the process along. There’s even a couple of handy tools that can “paint and shape the landscape.”
The game will support online multiplayer, allowing players to explore each other’s worlds and create together, or take part in “cooperative and competitive play experiences that players can build themselves.”

LEGO Worlds launches 24 February on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam. Let us know your thoughts in the comments or over in the forums.

If you've not caught up yet, check out the last episode.

In their previous outing, Earth's last line of defence were tasked with locating and extracting a VIP. A mission that went swimmingly, aside from Plasma Wing being gravely wounded. The Yorkshireman will be out for 23 long days but everyone survived. We're chalking that up as a win.

Now, the team have been asked to rescue a number of civilians from the evil invaders. Find out how they got on below.

Symmetra to be redesigned in Overwatch, new ultimate being added to the support character

23/11/2016

Picture

The developers felt that the character was underused and weak in certain situations, so an upcoming patch will buff her abilities and even add a new ultimate.

by Chris Brand
Picture

@pass_controller

Her current ultimate places a teleporter that allies can use to quickly get back into battle, but the ability becomes less useful when defending on an Assault map, which leads to players often switching if they lose the first capture point. Her new ultimate places a shield generator, granting increased shields to any friendlies in the radius.
The shield generator doesn't need line of sight, allowing you to hide it away somewhere defensible and keep the enemy on their toes.

You can take a look at the developer update below for more information.
It's worth noting that Symmetra will still have the use of her teleporter and can choose which ability would best suit the situation.

Some other balancing changes are also being made.

Photon Barrier
  • Replaces her existing Photon Shield ability
  • Generates a large energy barrier in front of Symmetra that blocks enemy fire as it travels forward

Photon Projector (Primary Fire)
  • Range has been increased from 5 meters to 7 meters

Sentry Turret
  • Number of turrets that can be carried has been increased from 3 turrets to 6 turrets
  • Cooldown has been reduced from 12 seconds to 10 seconds

Teleporter
  • Decreased health from 200 to 50
  • Increased shields from 0 to 350

The patch is being tested in the Public Test Region on PC.

Looking forward to the new changes? Will they make Symmetra a more balanced character? Share your thoughts with us in the forums or comments below.
