With the arrival of update 1.6, Bethesda's Fallout Shelter is now available on PC.
Since its inception, Fallout Shelter has received numerous updates, including pets, crafting, scrapping and junk, additional rooms, Fallout 4 characters, and special customisation options for your dwellers. Over 50 million players have downloaded the mobile app and taken on the post-nuclear wasteland, as you can see in the infographic the developers have provided: The latest update adds a quest system, which allows you to take control of your dwellers and travel to new locations, like abandoned buildings and old vaults, or even familiar spots from Fallout such as the Red Rocket Fuel Stop and the Super Duper Mart.
Those choosing to partake in quests outside of the vault will come up against Radscorpions, Ghouls and a few bosses which can be dispatched using the new combat system. After grabbing some loot you can call your settlers back with a nice cool bottle of Nuka-Cola Quantum. If this all sounds a little overwhelming, you can purchase the starter pack which grants you a special dweller and some much needed resources. There’s still no word on whether the game will be making an appearance on consoles anytime soon. Will you be downloading the PC version of Fallout Shelter? Let us know in the forums or comment below.
