Just Cause 3’s second content pack from the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass will be available for download next month.
The new content pack includes a brand new island called Lacrima, which features an abandoned eDen research base and a prison camp under the control of the mysterious Black Hand.
As the name would suggest, the new expansion adds some hulking new enemies in the form of Mechs, who happen to call Lacrima home.
In order to take down the powerful Mechs, players will need the new Bavarium Power Core rifle to disable their shields, making them vulnerable to hijacking. Once in control, players will have full use of the Mech’s heavy arsenal of weaponry, including powerful cannons and GRIP Gravity Guns which can be used to hurl and smash enemies to pieces.
Check out the images below for a look at the Mechs:
Senior Producer at Avalanche Studios, Tobias Andersson, spoke of how the new Mechs will allow players so much more freedom when it comes to destroying everything in sight:
“The new Mechs allow Rico to throw enemies, vehicles and chaos objects around like tennis balls – increasing the scope for physics-based fun. Whether you’re juggling a small car or punching helicopters out of the sky, the Mechs give you the opportunity to mess with your surroundings in creative, explosive ways.”
New gameplay features in the content pack include:
MECH LAND ASSAULT is available to purchase for $11.99/€11.99/£9.49, or comes as part of the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pack, which includes access to all three of the additional content packs for $24.99/€24.99/£19.99.
The last content pack – BAVARIUM SEA HEIST – is due for release by the end of the summer.
