Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s first story expansion debuts next week

Ubisoft have announced the release date for the opening episode of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s upcoming story expansion, Legacy of the First Blade.

Featuring three episodes in total, Legacy of the First Blade tells the story of Darius, who was the first person to wield the iconic hidden wrist blade of the order. The opening episode, Hunted, premieres next week on Tuesday, 4 December, and is available instantly to season pass holders or can be purchased as a separate download.

Parts two and three, Shadow Heritage and Bloodline, are scheduled to arrive sometime in early 2019, completing the story arc.

Hunted, which will be available across all platforms, is said to feature new characters, “gripping” naval combat and “powerful new enemies” for players to take on as they uncover “revelations about the Assassin’s Creed universe.”

Legacy of the First Blade is the first of two major story expansions for Odyssey, in what Ubisoft is referring to as the series’ “biggest and most ambitious” post-launch plans yet.

​The second expansion, The Fate of Atlantis, will also be dished out episodically, with players able to experience each one as they release or wait until all episodes are available to play through the story in its entirety.
