Bad Yolk is made up of 10 senior AAA developers with over 90+ years of collective industry experience, whose previous work includes games such as Chronicles of Riddick, Eve Online, Gears of War, The Division and The Darkness. The studio aims to attract top talent by offering a “healthy and happy work-life balance” whilst building the “most creative and technically superior games possible."
Located in Uppsala, Sweden, Bad Yolk was founded by Michael Paixao and Joel Jonsson, who previously collaborated on DOOM and Wolfenstein titles The New Order, The Old Blood and The New Colossus.

“After years of working with some extremely talented people on some really great projects we felt it was time to branch out on our own to create a new kind of studio,” said Michael Paixao from Bad Yolk.

“Obviously high quality video games should be fun to play, but we also believe that they should be fun to make and that creativity thrives best in a healthy and balanced work environment, which is a central pillar of our corporate message and structure.”

While there’s little information on Bad Yolk’s debut IP, judging from the few screenshots shared on the studios' twitter account it looks like the game will feature a minimalist aesthetic and possibly a small robot.
