Banner Saga 3 Kickstarter successful, stretch goals confirmed

Stoic have today confirmed that their Kickstarter campaign for Banner Saga 3 was a huge success and some additional stretch goals have been met.

The 40 day crowd funding effort aimed to raise at least $200,000. That target was met within the first week and continued to grow throughout the campaign, ultimately reaching $416,986.

“The support from backers and the community has been amazing, and it’s humbling to know that RTS fans around the world really want to support us”, said John Watson, co-founder and Technical Director at Stoic. “The additional funds will be invested into bringing as much of our intended vision to the final game and rewarding our backers’ support with an unforgettable experience to conclude this epic tale."

​Confirmed stretch goals include:

Playable Dredge characters: Dredge Stoneguard, Hurler and Stonesinger Heroes.

Survival Mode: Choose 6 heroes and pit them against a "plethora of battle-hardened enemies" in a fight to the death.

New game mode: Eternal Arena requires the use of your best combat tactics as you take on quick play challenges.

In the third, and final, game in the trilogy, the story takes players beyond the wall of Darkness to experience a world that's unlike anything they've encountered in the previous titles.
