Battle Martians, zombies and Vietcong with the Far Cry 5 season pass, also includes Far Cry 3 Classic Edition

Ubisoft have detailed the Far Cry 5 season pass, which will be available as part of the Gold Edition of the game or as a standalone purchase.

The pass includes three unique missions which will see players head back in time to 1960s Vietnam to fight the Vietcong, travel to Mars for a showdown with some alien arachnids and fight hordes of zombies in “multiple b-movie scenarios.” Also included in the pass is Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, which will be available first to season pass holders before getting a standalone release on Xbox One and PS4.

Set on the seemingly idyllic Rook Island, Far Cry 3 saw players step into the role of holiday maker Jason Brody as he tries to save his friends from the game’s deranged antagonist, Vaas.

The Classic Edition included in the season pass will only give console players access to the game’s single player content, while PC users get the entire Far Cry 3 experience.

​A standalone version of Far Cry 3 Classic Edition will be released on Xbox One and PS4 this summer, though owners of Microsoft’s console can already play the original version after it was made backwards compatible on Xbox One last year.

Far Cry 5 is out 27 March on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
