Bethesda confirm RAGE 2 with a pair of trailers

After leaking ahead of time, yesterday Bethesda confirmed that RAGE 2 is indeed a thing with the release of a teaser trailer, and today they followed that up with a first look at RAGE 2’s gameplay.

The former shows a bunch of real people looking angry/excited whilst dressed in their best (or worst?) post-apocalyptic gear, complete with all manner of weapons. That’s really about it, but if you’re set on watching you may want to turn your volume down before clicking on the video.

The gameplay reveal was more informative, giving us a taste of the story and showcasing some first-person carnage.

The year is 2185, humanity's numbers are on the decline and the Authority wish to rule over those who remain. You are Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland. Robbed of your home and left for dead, you'll be battling bloodthirsty gangs for the tools and technology you need to take down the Authority.

RAGE 2 is being developed by id Software (DOOM) and Avalanche Studios (Mad Max) so it would seem that a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter is right up their collective alley.

​Bethesda have promised more will be revealed at their BE3 presentation on 10 June.
