Angry Mob Games unveiled and detailed their upcoming platform fighter today.

Its platforming elements and win conditions were, very obviously, inspired by Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros., whilst the ground combat takes its cue from fighters like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, although with an altogether friendlier spin.

Take a look at the trailer below:

Each character will have their own unique combat style in order to make battles more strategic. You'll come across grapplers, ranged melee pugilists, projectile specialists and more.

All combatants start out with basic attacks that you'll be able to evolve and customise, adding new combos, special moves, movement abilities and advanced tech moves.

Aside from the solo campaign, there'll be online ranked tournaments and local multiplayer, with up to 8-player battles.

Brawlout is due to release on Xbox One, PS4 and Steam in 2017.
