The leak comes from a pre-order card posted by a user on Reddit and shows Modern Warfare Remastered will be included with the Legacy Edition of Infinity Warfare, which is rumoured to be the title of the next Call of Duty. A listing for Infinite Warfare briefly appeared on the North American PlayStation Store before being removed, lending more credence to the leak. If any more proof was needed, the official Call of Duty Twitter account tweeted this image, all but confirming the leak: Well played.
It's Infinity Ward's turn this time around, their last entry being 2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts. The developers are responsible for all the Modern Warfare titles, so if anyone is going to resurrect the fan favourite game, chances are it will be them. No firm details are known about Infinite Warfare, but Activision claimed earlier in the year that their next Call of Duty would be "innovative", and other rumours suggested the game would feature a sci-fi setting, possibly in space. It's around this time of year that the publisher starts feeding us information about the latest Call of Duty, and with Sony jumping the gun on the PS Store, it seems likely that an official announcement is not far off. Modern Warfare was one of the most popular Call of Duty games and is widely regarded by many as a classic, so the news - if true - is sure to please fans of the franchise. We'll keep you up to date with any further news. Which are you more excited about, Modern Warfare, or Infinite Warfare? Let us know in the forums. Comments are closed.
