EA and DICE have outlined some of the changes being made to Star Wars Battlefront II’s controversial loot box system in a recent blog post. According to the post, these are just the “initial steps toward making much larger changes” to the game’s convoluted progression system, which has drawn the ire of many – including politicians from Belgium and the US - in recent weeks.
The changes mark the start of The Last Jedi Season, which goes live tomorrow and celebrates the release of Episode VIII in cinemas with the arrival of some specially themed Heroes, locations and vehicles in Battlefront II, as well as new content for the single player campaign that covers the First Order’s rise to power, though these new chapters won’t be available until 13 December. New multiplayer content includes Heroes Captain Phasma and Finn, Tallie Lintra's RZ-2 A-wing and the salt-covered planet of Crait for Galactic Assault mode. Players will also be able to pick whether they want to represent the First Order or the Resistance, with rewards handed out for competing in factional challenges.
