Chivalry 2 closed alpha begins next month, sign-ups now open

A sequel to the popular Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, which we reviewed on Xbox One back in 2015, PC users can get a taste of the first-person medieval brawler when the closed alpha begins sometime next month. You can sign up for the alpha here. To get players in the mood for an armoured ruckus, Torn Banner recently released a lore trailer explaining the setting of the new game, which you can check out below.

The game features “enhanced player expression” such as new voice lines and character customisation and a “revamped, faster and more fluid” combat system that allows players to find and perfect their preferred playstyle. Certain multiplayer matches will support up to 64 players.

​Those lucky enough to be attending PAX East will be able to try a 36-player setup of Chivalry 2 at the Tripwire Interactive Booth #18011 ahead of the closed alpha.

There’s no solid release date just yet, with Chivalry 2 said to be coming to PC via the Epic Games Store sometime later this year.
