Close to the Sun arrives on Epic Store next month

Wired Productions and Storm in a Teacup have announced the release date for their first-person horror title, Close to the Sun.

Set in an alternate 19th Century, Close to the Sun is an adventure title with problem solving elements where players explore the Helios - a giant scientific research vessel created by Nikola Tesla - as journalist Rose Archer in search of her missing sister. All is not well on board, however, with an apparent viral outbreak devastating the crew and passengers of the stricken ship.

Players have no weapons or means to defend themselves whilst exploring – save for the help of an ally who helps Rose navigate the ship - and instead must use “running, hiding and quick thinking” in order to survive.

Close to the Sun is out 2 May on PC via Epic Games Store with an RRP of €29.99 (or regional equivalent). Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are scheduled to arrive later in the year.
