Crash Team Racing remake strongly rumoured for The Game Awards

Rumours are pointing to a likely CTR: Crash Team Racing remake announcement at this week’s Game Awards.

Following the success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the more recent Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Activision are said to be bringing back the former series’ first iteration as a racer, which was originally developed by Naughty Dog and released on PlayStation back in 1999.

The rumours stem from the Crash Bandicoot Facebook page, which updated its cover photo with an image of a chequered flag synonymous with racing and another of Crash himself looking thoughtful under text reading “Ummmmmm.... 12.06.2018?”, the date of The Game Awards.

More recently, PlayStation Access host Hollie Bennett shared the below tweet after she received a pair of fuzzy Crash coloured dice (seen above) along with another reference to the date of the event.

With The Game Awards taking place this Thursday, we won’t have long to wait for official confirmation.
