Darksiders III officially announced

THQ Nordic have officially unveiled Darksiders III after Amazon accidentally posted details and images of the game before it had been announced earlier this week.

Darksiders III is being worked on by Gunfire Games, a studio that is largely comprised of people who worked on the original Darksiders games, both of which were remastered for the current generation of consoles. According to Reinhard Pollice, Director of Business and Product Development at THQ Nordic, there is “no team better qualified to create Darksiders III.”

Darksiders III follows the story of Fury, who has been tasked by The Charred Council with hunting down and disposing of the Seven Deadly Sins. As Fury, players can call upon her magic and whip as they explore an “open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth that is dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature”.
 
“We have taken our time to ensure that this next Darksiders will be everything action-adventure gamers and especially Darksiders loyalists could dream of and more,” said Lars Wingefors, Co-Founder and Group CEO at THQ Nordic.
