DayZ forums hacked, details leaked6/2/2016 Image credit: PCgamer The DayZ forums have been compromised and users' e-mail addresses, usernames and passwords have been leaked. The studio are planning to replace the IPBoards login system with Bohemia Account, a separate custom built service currently used by Bohemia Interactive Forums and Store. The added security should reduce the risk of similar attacks. The changeover is expected to take place within the next two weeks and the forums will be offline until then.
If you're looking for updates, the development team are keeping people informed via Twitter. In the popular open world zombie survival game you start off as a lone survivor with nary a thing but the clothes on your back. Through scavenging and robbing other players you can acquire new clothes, weapons and the food and drink you'll need to sustain yourself. There has been a lot added since it's launch on Stream's Early Access program - hunting, drivable vehicles, gardening and contagious diseases to name a few - and there's even more to come, with flying vehicles and the ability to build fortifications penned for release this year. The hotly anticipated console release of DayZ was put back until the first quarter of 2016 but when asked about it on Twitter recently the developers stated, "We have no console related news at this time." Are you worried the leak? Longing for a console release? Let us know in the forums. Comments are closed.
