Destiny 2 officially announced, full reveal trailer coming this week

Destiny’s sequel has been officially announced, with Bungie set to reveal more of the game tomorrow evening. The news came just days after an Italian retailer had leaked some posters seemingly bearing Destiny 2 promotional art.

The announcement was made with a tweet simply showing the Destiny 2 logo, which just so happens to match up with those seen on the leaked posters. No other information was provided, but the leaked posters showed an 8 September release date and that a beta would be available on the PS4 first.

Since then, a teaser featuring everyone’s favourite Hunter, Cayde-6, has been released, with a full reveal trailer planned for this Thursday at 6PM BST.

It also looks like PS4 users will once again have timed exclusive content, if the trailer uploaded by PlayStation’s YouTube channel is anything to go by.

Little is known about Destiny 2, but rumours from last year suggest Destiny players will not be able to import their characters over to the sequel and that the game is likely to make an appearance on PC.
