EA and DICE have revealed the new content awaiting players when Chapter 6: Into the Jungle releases for Battlefield V next month. “Rivers and marshes block the path for infantry and tanks, but savvy soldiers can make the bottlenecks work for them. You’ll charge through narrow paths winding through dense jungle and fight over covered strongholds,” reads EA’s official description of the new map.
The new weapons available to unlock include the Type 11 LMG and Model 37 shotgun for the Support class and the M2 Carbine for the Assault class. Players of the latter class can also unlock the M1A1 Bazooka, while both Assault and Support players will be able to earn the Lunge Mine for anti-tank warfare. The three new elite all have a melee focussed nature to compliment Solomon Islands’ close-quarters attributes, including the Commando Machete wielding Misaki Yamashiro, American pilot Steve Fisher, who uses knuckle dusters, and finally Akira Sakamoto, who’s club is a “repurposed control stick” from a downed Zero fighter. Chapter 6: Into the Jungle is out 6 February as a free update on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Let us know your thoughts on the new content below or in the forums. Leave a Reply. |
