We can expect content, features and quality-of-life updates in the form of "Acts" which advance the story through new locations, character interactions and gameplay elements.

Act 1 begins in March and culminates in a Cataclysm, a "world-changing, time-limited event that comes with extreme weather, dangerous new enemies, and new mysteries to solve."
Upon reaching Pilot Level 30 and completing the main story, new difficulties will be unlocked alongside the standard Easy, Normal and Hard Modes. The three tiers of Grand Master provide more of a challenge and offer greater rewards for successful pilots.

Factions around Fort Tarsis will offer Contracts and those who prove themselves worthy could be tasked with taking on Legendary Contracts; multi part missions with bigger risks and better loot. Crafting blueprints, and the resources needed to build them, can be acquired from these factions as your reputation grows. Daily, weekly and monthly challenges can also be completed to earn coins and valuable materials.

Strongholds, one of which we got to sample during the demo, will be one of the more challenging activities, along with Cataclysms. Cataclysms are big events causing physical changes to the world such as "extreme weather, deluges of hostile creatures, and changes to the landscape that will reveal new mysteries to solve."

More characters, missions and stories are promised post-launch.

Anthem releases 22 February on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Early Access starts 15 February for EA Access/Origins members.
