Endless Shadow Wars coming to Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Monolith have confirmed the much-requested endless Shadow Wars feature is coming to Middle-earth: Shadow of War at some point. Beware minor spoilers for those still progressing with the game.

Shadow Wars is Shadow of War’s endgame, and tasks players with completing Siege Missions in which they must defend their captured fortresses against Orc onslaughts in order to reach the game’s hidden ending. By making this mode endless, players will be able to continue the cycle of defending fortresses for as long as they like.

The announcement was made during a Twitch stream, in which members of the studio confirmed the feature will arrive alongside the Slaughter Tribe DLC, though this particular expansion has yet to receive a release date.
 
Though the Slaughter Tribe come as part of the game’s paid expansion pass, endless Shadow Wars will be a free update for all players.
 
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is out now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
