Far Cry Arcade is a free feature included in Far Cry 5 that let’s players build and create all sorts of scenarios for single player, co-op and PvP multiplayer modes. This is the first time these three modes have been included in a Far Cry in-game editor. Players will have access to more than 9000 objects and items to use when building maps and levels, including assets from Far Cry 5, Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Watch_Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
“There’s really no restriction on the way that maps can be setup; you could be playing an outpost, but in a city that’s halfway under water. We’re very excited to bring all these different worlds together and let them collide in little bit-size experiences,” said Lead Game Designer, Clark Davies.

Davies also said that the development team are planning to add more assets and items to the editor after launch later this month as part of “at least six” different updates.

As well as a look at Far Cry Arcade, Ubisoft also released another trailer highlighting other post launch content and the three standalone game modes that come included as part of the game’s season pass.

Hours of Darkness sees players dropped into the Vietnam War in order to rescue POW’s and take on the Viet Cong, Lost on Mars features a more sci-fi setting as players battle alien arachnids on Mars, while the third piece of DLC, Dead Living Zombies, has a B-Movie setting starring the living dead.

There’s also special live events coming post launch that give players the chance to earn new loot in the form of exclusive outfits, weapons and vehicles.

Far Cry 5 is out 27 March on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
