Ubisoft have given us a closer look at Far Cry 5’s in-game level builder, Far Cry Arcade, which gives players plenty of tools and assets to get creative with. “There’s really no restriction on the way that maps can be setup; you could be playing an outpost, but in a city that’s halfway under water. We’re very excited to bring all these different worlds together and let them collide in little bit-size experiences,” said Lead Game Designer, Clark Davies. Davies also said that the development team are planning to add more assets and items to the editor after launch later this month as part of “at least six” different updates. As well as a look at Far Cry Arcade, Ubisoft also released another trailer highlighting other post launch content and the three standalone game modes that come included as part of the game’s season pass. Hours of Darkness sees players dropped into the Vietnam War in order to rescue POW’s and take on the Viet Cong, Lost on Mars features a more sci-fi setting as players battle alien arachnids on Mars, while the third piece of DLC, Dead Living Zombies, has a B-Movie setting starring the living dead.
There’s also special live events coming post launch that give players the chance to earn new loot in the form of exclusive outfits, weapons and vehicles. Far Cry 5 is out 27 March on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Let us know your thoughts on Far Cry Arcade and the other Far Cry 5 post launch content below or in the forums. Leave a Reply. |
